Alfie - male tri-colour Border Collie, 9 ½ months old Alfie is only 9 ½ months old. He is tri-colour smooth coated Border Collie and of medium size measuring 22” to the shoulder. He came from a working farm in Wales and into his current home when he was just 7 ½ weeks old and has been a much loved pet. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The best way to sum up Alfie is by using the words of his owners! They describe him as “a gorgeous and well natured boy. A typical hyper Collie ... full of beans and love! He can be quite needy, always wanting a cuddle and doesn't like being left on his own”. He is a very endearing soul, non-destructive and travels well in the car. Alfie has very strong working instincts and his family feel he would make a great agility dog with someone that can give him time, dedication and further direction. They have brought him quite a way and he has attended and completed 2 sets of training and can do tricks, recall (he responds to a whistle), sit, down, rollover, stay etc. However when Alfie is out and playing with other dogs he can get carried away in his excitement which means he doesn’t always hear his name when he is called! Alfie of course is having far too much fun! For anyone used to his breed, Alfie really has it all – he is the full package! Sadly his current owners feel they just don’t have enough time or experience to bring him on further and offer him the home they believe he truly deserves. Alfie could live with dog savvy children and currently lives with a 7 & 2 year old. Perhaps older children would suit him better as he is quite bouncy, but he can be easily managed. He is a no for cats as he will chase them and he will require further training around cars. Alfie is is currently living in the Yate, South Gloucestershire.
